Sierra has been a remedial massage therapist for 5 years and has experience working in integrative practices. She is a results driven therapist and believes in working with her clients to achieve their health and wellness goals.
Sierra has an interest in chronic illness, and likes the challenge of rehabilitating repetitive strain injuries and other complex cases. Her training in functional anatomy gives her an understanding of dynamic movement and complex sporting injuries.
Her other special interest is pregnancy massage, pelvic instability issues, gait analysis and gait correction.
She uses remedial techniques such as myofacial direct and indirect, trigger point therapy, soft tissue release, postural correction and manual lymphatic drainage (MLD). Her time at Peter Mac as a volunteer remedial massage therapist has afforded her a unique perspective on the effectiveness of MLD.
In her spare time Sierra studies a Bachelor of Health Science in Integrative Nutrition with a focus on food as medicine. At home she enjoys experimenting with recipes inspired by ingredients from her kitchen garden or
neighbouring urban farm.
